Eleven twin cities - near and far
Chemnitz has friendly ties to eleven twin cities. Whilst Ústí nad Labem (Czech Republic) is only 90 minutes away from Chemnitz by car, Taiyuan (People’s Republic of China) and Akron (USA) are almost 8000 kilometres away. Irrespective of the geographical location, distance or cultural differences, each partnership enriches Chemnitz greatly.
