Museum Night

Museum Night has been held in Chemnitz since 2000. On this special night, museums, cultural institutions and galleries stay open until late in the night. From 6.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m., residents of Chemnitz have a unique opportunity to visit all the open venues using just one ticket and a shuttle bus service.

In addition to their permanent and special exhibitions, the event venues also offer special programmes, many of them aimed at children. This makes Museum Night an experience for the whole family.

Museum Night is a community project organised by the Department of Culture of the City of Chemnitz, with participation from municipal, association and private museums, galleries and institutions.
