City Festival

Every year at the end of August, Chemnitz city centre is transformed into the biggest festival in the region! The city centre around the Town Hall and the Red Tower, the Stadthalle and Brückenstraße is transformed into a promenade and party zone, beer garden and wine bar, fairground and concert arena. The numerous attractions for children and young people, together with varied options for young families and the young at heart make it an experience for all ages.

Visitors experience old and new – they can meet local associations and companies, enjoy the harvest festival, and encounter actors from the region, sportspeople, musicians and artists from the city and its surroundings, and meet national stars and international big names in person.
