Museum Night Chemnitz
Museum Night has been held in Chemnitz since 2000. On this special night, museums, cultural institutions and galleries stay open until late in the night. From 6.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m., residents of Chemnitz have a unique opportunity to visit all the open venues using just one ticket and a shuttle bus service.

The extraordinary, brand-new and diverse productions on show at the SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for children and young audiences have been drawing thousands of young and old filmgoers from Chemnitz and the surrounding area to the CineStar in the Galerie Roter Turm every year in the week before the autumn holidays in Saxony.

Intercultural Week takes place across the Federal Republic annually around the end of September / start of October, under the same slogan throughout the country. In Chemnitz, meanwhile, Intercultural Week has turned into two Intercultural Weeks; the date is aligned with the federal celebrations, but also with the local calendar of events.
