Wild Animal Reserve
The Wild Animal Reserve in Oberrabenstein, founded in 1973, has belonged to the Chemnitz Animal Park since 1995. It is approximately ten minutes’ drive from the Animal Park and makes an ideal addition to a walk through Rabenstein Forest.
In this oasis of nature covering approximately 36 hectares, European wild animals can be observed in peace and quiet. The reserve is extensive and in harmony with nature. Visitors can view the roughly 100 animals from 15 species in their generous enclosures from the paths and also from special observation huts.
The Wild Animal Reserve is located within the Rabenstein leisure region – very close to the reservoir, campsite, Rabenstein Castle and the Felsendome caves.
